Great pictures...love the slide show... but :*( now I can't copy the pictures since they are playing and doesn't give you the chance to save them, just to print them and they come out so tiny. Yes I will take a few crackers to go with my whine :) But since I never get copies of your pics that picking them up off here is the only way I had to get them :P Great shots too btw!

When I was home on leave from Afghanistan in April of 2007, Aunt Elaine and I visited the Biltmore Mansion. The gardens were in bloom at the time, and it was spectacular. Hard to believe it was once a single family home! We did not opt for the roof-top gargoyle tour, so I am glad that you shared some of those photos. Can you begin to imagine or even remotely identify with that kind of wealth? They even had their own railroad spur built to bring the materials to the construction site. We were very impressed - but not enough to want to live there and pay the property taxes or the electric and water bills!
