Mary's cupcake & card

This was the gift card holder for my sister Mary's 29th birthday.  By the way, if you are in a hurry and don't have time to go get a gift card it will hold money just as well.  :)

This is her birthday card.  I came up with the idea of making the numbers into the antennae all by myself!  :)

Cruising again - in 2010
We are back from a glorious week cruising in the Caribbean.  We got off of the boat in Miami yesterday to weather in the 80's so of course we were in flip flops and shorts.  We came home to freezing rain and temps in the 20's.  Yuck.  Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.  Poor Erik is really going to miss the food on the ship.  He was in Heaven.  As for me, I am looking forward to eating VERY light for a while.

This begins the pictures of Half Moon Cay, Bahamas.  It's a private island owned by the cruise lines.  It's so small that you have to take a tender boat over to it because there's no dock for the cruise ship so they have to drop anchor away from the island.  Anyway, we LOVED it and it was so beautiful.  Lauren loved being a little island girl and exploring all day.

Ok, so one night I made everyone get dressed up for formal night.  On the way to dinner we noticed that many people were wearing jeans or dressed very casual.  Turns out it wasn't formal night after all.  For some strange reason the family didn't trust me for information for the rest of the cruise.

Lauren & I on "formal night."

St. Thomas
We took a catamaran named Castaway Girl to a little island to go snorkeling.  This was my favorite part of the whole trip.  I want a sailboat!!

THE CANVAS!!

It's not far down to paradise

At least it's not for me

And if the wind is right you can sail away

And find tranquility

The canvas can do miracles

Just you wait and see

Believe me

Look at how happy they are!  :)    Yes, of course they get along this well ALL of the time.  ;)  haha!

This begins the Puerto Rico pictures.  If I ever go there again I will take a cab somewhere and get out of San Juan.  Not a very nice area.  I wanted to go see the house I lived in when I was little and the school I went to but it was an hour long cab ride away and we didn't have much time there.

My all time favorite flower.  I remember these growing all over the island in various colors when I was a kid.

Jumbo tron TV out on deck where they played movies.

This is Grand Turk, the last island we went to.

Lauren watching the band before dinner.  This time it really was formal night.  ;)
